About this opportunity
The World Economic Forum will select 100 early-stage companies for the 2027 Technology Pioneers community. The two-year programme connects selected start-ups with political, business and cultural leaders to address challenges affecting people and the planet.
Selected Technology Pioneers may attend World Economic Forum global meetings, workshops and events, as well as tailored gatherings for members of the Innovator Community. CEOs are expected to devote at least five hours per quarter to engagement with the Forum and attend at least one global event each year during the company’s tenure.
This is a community, recognition and engagement opportunity. The official application does not state that selected companies receive a grant, investment or cash award.
Applications must be submitted through the official World Economic Forum application form by midnight Pacific Time on 31 January 2027. Incomplete application sessions are retained for one week after the applicant’s last activity, after which the process must be restarted.
Who should consider it
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
• The company is bringing a genuinely innovative technology or business model to market, with the potential to create substantial long-term positive impact on society or the planet.
• The company has received Series A funding of at least US$10 million.
• The company is less than 10 years old.
• The company is independent and privately held.
The World Economic Forum strongly encourages the chief executive officer to complete the application because CEO engagement is expected throughout the programme. Applicants should also be ready for the quarterly time commitment and annual global-event participation described in the programme information.
The application form processes personal and company information for assessment. Anyone submitting personal data for another person must have that person’s explicit consent.
