Victam Foundation Call for Funding 2027

Victam Foundation

Global, with a developing-country funding pathway For Researchers, universities, institutes, associations, innovators and eligible companies working in animal feed and flour milling Deadline Dec 31, 2026

About this opportunity

The Victam Foundation Call for Funding 2027 supports projects that advance the animal feed and flour-milling industries. Researchers, organisations, innovators and eligible commercial companies may submit proposals in one or more of the Foundation's three funding categories. What the fund supports Category 1 covers future-proof feed technology, including lower energy costs, reduced carbon emissions, animal welfare and regional production chains. Category 2 supports new feed technologies that use materials which do not compete with human food and address processing, contamination and production-chain challenges. Category 3 supports the establishment, implementation and development of animal-feed technology in developing countries. Funding and benefits The maximum award is €50,000 for a one-year project or €40,000 per year for a multi-year project. Co-financing is viewed positively. There is no fee to submit a funding request. How to apply Applicants must use the Victam Foundation's online funding-request form. The submission asks for applicant details, the selected funding category, a project proposal or business-case summary, target audience, timeline, objectives, expected results, a detailed budget and funding request, other funding sources, evidence of innovation and impact, and the organisation's qualifications and consortium details. Applications close on 31 December 2026. The organiser does not state a deadline timezone, so applicants should submit early.

Who should consider it

Applicants may be universities, research institutes, associations, companies or other organisations with a relevant project in the Victam Foundation's field of interest. Proposals must identify and justify the applicable funding category. Multiple categories are allowed when clearly justified. For Categories 1 and 2, the Foundation assesses the quality and realism of the plan and budget, innovation and scientific support, economic potential, organisational track record, consortium strength, and social and environmental relevance. For Category 3, the project must involve a recipient party in a country classified by the OECD as a lower-income or lower-middle-income economy. It should address animal-feed raw materials or feed production technology, include practical training or assessment in the recipient country, show relevant experience and local support, and evidence investment by recipient parties. All requests require a well-supported financial justification. Funding is competitive and subject to the Foundation's assessment and board decision.
