About this opportunity
The Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund is accepting proposals for catalytic, innovative and inclusive projects that strengthen climate resilience through nature and ecosystems. The 2026 calls support projects that address barriers to scaling EbA, strengthen enabling environments, build evidence and learning, advance investment readiness, and connect adaptation with biodiversity, land, development and security priorities.
Medium-size grants provide up to USD 500,000 for projects lasting up to 24 months. The submission window is 12 October to 16 November 2026. A separate small-size grant call provides up to USD 250,000, with submissions from 28 September to 26 October 2026. Applicants should prepare with the official call package and submit through the online platform when each window opens.
Who should consider it
Applicants must be legally recognized eligible organizations and propose an innovative, catalytic ecosystem-based adaptation project built on existing work. Projects must target ODA-eligible countries or be global/thematic, last no more than 24 months, partner with local institutions and communities, integrate gender and Indigenous/local knowledge perspectives, and meet the Fund due-diligence requirements. Individuals and government entities applying alone are not eligible; governments may participate in consortia without receiving Fund financing.
