About this opportunity
Overview
The GFF x CIVIC VOICES Call for Proposals supports local civil society and youth-led partnerships working to improve civic participation, health-financing advocacy and accountability for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and nutrition in Africa. The initiative is led by PATH with the African Institute for Development Policy and the Organisation of African Youth under the VOICES consortium.
Funding and programme support
Up to USD 3.35 million will be awarded across as many as 22 African countries. Selected partnerships will receive grants lasting up to 18 months, alongside advocacy training, technical assistance in budget analysis and mentorship. The programme aims to strengthen coalition-building, youth leadership and sustained engagement in national health-planning, budgeting and accountability processes.
Who the call is for
Applicants must be local civil society organisations, youth-led organisations and/or community-based organisations in an eligible African country. Applications must come from a partnership of two or three organisations, and at least one member must be youth-led. A single organisation applying alone does not meet the required partnership structure.
Application process
The official PATH resource page provides the full call for proposals, a budgeting template, a technical proposal submission template and frequently asked questions in English, with additional materials in French and Portuguese. Partnerships should prepare their technical proposal and budget using the official documents and follow the submission instructions in the call.
Deadline
Applications close on Wednesday, 7 October 2026 at 23:59 East Africa Time. Applicants should allow time to confirm that every partner meets the local-organisation and partnership requirements before submission.
Who should consider it
Applicants must be a partnership of at least two and no more than three local organisations in an eligible African country. The partnership must include at least one youth-led organisation. Eligible members are local civil society organisations, youth-led organisations and/or community-based organisations working to strengthen civic engagement, health-financing advocacy and accountability for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and nutrition. Applications from a single organisation do not meet the required consortium structure.
