Commonwealth Startup Fellowships 2026

Overview The Commonwealth Startup Fellowship is a six-month entrepreneurship programme for high-potential startups from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries. It is delivered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in partnership with Imperial College London and supports founders who want to strengthen, scale, and professionalise their ventures. Programme purpose The fellowship helps founders improve their business model, entrepreneurial leadership, investment readiness, pitching, networks, and ability to create jobs and economic impact in their home countries. Format and key dates Cohort 3 applications are open from 3 August to 1 September 2026. Online programming runs from 26 November 2026 to 21 May 2027. The in-person bootcamp is scheduled for 25 January to 4 February 2027 in Accra, Ghana. The in-person capstone event is scheduled for 14 to 21 May 2027 in London, UK. Benefits and support Selected fellows join a structured programme of workshops, talks, networking, business development, entrepreneurial learning, pitching support, and global exposure through Imperial College London's entrepreneurship ecosystem and the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission network. Attendance requirement One representative from each selected startup is expected to participate in the programme.
